How the session goes
A consultation and personal colour match come first, then numbing and the aquarelle / velvet technique. Before booking, Mari reviews contraindications with you.
Healing
For the first 7–10 days avoid soaking or steaming the lips and harsh cosmetics, do not pick, and use the recommended balm. Avoid sun, sauna and pools for 14 days.

Questions about lip blush
How long does permanent makeup last?
Usually 1 to 3 years. It depends on your skin type, metabolism, sun exposure and skincare: on oily skin, or with strong acids or retinol, the pigment fades faster. Lip blush often holds for two years or more. A colour refresh every 1–2 years keeps the result looking fresh.
Does permanent makeup hurt?
Most clients feel only mild discomfort. The area is numbed before the treatment, and again during it if needed. Lips are the most sensitive area; brows and the lash line are usually very comfortable.
I get cold sores. Can I have lip blush?
Yes, but tell Mari before booking. A lip treatment can trigger a cold sore, so ask your GP or pharmacist whether you should take preventive medication before the appointment. With an active cold sore the treatment is postponed.
How much does permanent makeup cost at MARI PMU?
Powder brows from €250, lip blush from €250, lash line from €180 and laser removal from €70 per session. A touch-up costs €100. The €30 deposit is deducted from the price. Mari confirms the final price after seeing a daylight photo.
How do I choose the right shape and color?
Before the procedure, we have a detailed consultation and create a personalized design. The shape and color are carefully selected to complement your facial features, skin tone, and personal preferences, ensuring a natural and harmonious result.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes. The procedure is not recommended for certain medical conditions, including insulin-dependent diabetes, epilepsy, blood clotting disorders, cancer, active inflammation or infection in the treatment area, as well as during pregnancy. Before booking, we will review all contraindications together.
What does healing look like, day by day?
Days 1–3: the colour looks darker and sharper than the final result, and lips may be slightly swollen. Days 4–10: light flaking; let it come off by itself. Weeks 2–3: the colour can look too light while new skin forms, which is normal. After about 4–6 weeks you see the final healed colour. A touch-up, if needed, follows 6–8 weeks after the first session.
What if I have allergies?
If you are prone to allergic reactions, please let Mari know in advance. If necessary, a patch test can be performed before your procedure.
Can I get my eyebrows or lips wet after the procedure?
Yes, just be gentle. Avoid soaking or steaming the treated area, strong streams of water, and harsh cleansers or cosmetics until the skin has completely healed.
Is a touch-up necessary?
In most cases, one session is enough to achieve a beautiful result. If needed, a touch-up can be performed to enhance the color or refine small details.
When can I wear makeup again?
You can apply makeup to the treated area only after the skin has completely healed. This is essential for proper healing and the best possible results.
